Compass Yoga:
I founded Compass Yoga, a NYC-based nonprofit, to focus on improving the health of all people by introducing them to the therapeutic benefits of yoga and meditation through free and low-costs classes and workshops.
Free and low-cost group classes and workshops are offered by our team of teachers in partnership with community organizations such as the New York Public Library and SAGE.
What Yogoer said about Compass Yoga:
“Christa managed 26 students, of all ages and experiences, with ease and charm…I came away relaxed, restored, and ready to face my week.”
For more information please visit the Compass Yoga website.
Private sessions:
I also offer private sessions for individuals and small groups. These are scheduled individually and can be held in your home or office, or at Kula Yoga Project at 28 Warren Street. The fee is $100/hour. Please for more details.
Keep posting goodaritcle.
Thanks, Marke. I absolutely will!
Do you do hot yoga? I have tried the Bikram Hot yoga about 10 times but have yet to complete the whole series without sitting down a couple of times from light-headedness. Just wondering about your thoughts on this…and if not maybe I need to try yoga without the heat?
Hello there! I have tried Bikram a few times though I’ve never found it be for me. The heat has a really negative effect on me and I feel uncomfortable the entire day afterward. You may want to give another form of yoga a try – I primarily practice and teach hatha and vinyasa.
