Curating a Creative Life

About Me

I am a yoga teacher and yoga therapist who learns from my students every day, a product developer who is equally inspired by new technology and ancient wisdom, and a writer who believes that creativity and determination is the most powerful duo on Earth.

My writing focuses on curating a creative and original life, drawing inspiration from a variety of topics including the arts, books, travel, new technology, business, and New York City, a wondrous and turbulent place I’m proud to call home.

In 2010, I founded Compass Yoga, a NYC-based nonprofit that provides wellness programming to under-served populations through partnerships with community-based organizations. We specialize in providing services for people new to yoga because of physical and mental health challenges that require special consideration.

My career has involved working on the Hill for a Congressman, managing Broadway shows and national tours, fundraising for nonprofits, and innovation work at several large Fortune 500 companies. In every experience, I have used my sense of and respect for elegant design to develop meaningful products, services, and events.

A recovering multi-tasker,  I am a proud alum of UPenn (BA) and the Darden School at UVA (MBA). When not in front of my Mac, I’m on my yoga mat, walking my dog, traveling with a purpose, or practicing the high-art of people watching.

since you have an NYC centric blog, I think it would be great to organize a bi yearly meet Christa at a bar.

Wow! What a great idea. I am working on an ebook (right at this very moment actually!) and I wonder if that would be a good marketing push for the book. Thanks so much for the idea and of course I will let you know when it will be.

    Hi Christa,

Terry Watkins just sent me this link. Everything looks so cool, I am so happy for you. Glad you got your yoga space and I couldn’t agree with you more about ramen. Los Angeles made me fall in love with it, and had no idea what a huge bowl of fresh ramen could do to lift your spirits during a common cold or a damp day. Hope your family is great and wish you all the best.

Hi John-Anthony! Thank you so much for checking out the blog and for your note. I’ll have to thank Terry for passing along the link! Ramen is a magical dish! I’m looking forward to trying out some more places around New York.

Hope all is well with you and that you are having a wonderful holiday season. :)
